Report: Gorge(ous)2Adams 100 completed

Gorge(ous)2Adams 100 completed with Megan L. in 58:34:11 (unsupported). The challenge consists of summiting Mt. Adams (12,276ft/3,742m) from sea level. The ~110mi/30k EG route starts at Cascade Locks and follows the PCT before traversing over Mt. Adams on the North Cleaver route to the Cold Springs/South Climb trailhead.

We battled with heat, cold, rain, wind, rocks, interminable nondescriptive forests, lack of water, glaciers, crevasses, snow, ice, foot problems, shoe problems, stomach problems, biting flies, mosquitoes, mayonnaise sticks, and waffles.

Can this be done faster? Of course! We took it rather easy, carried sleeping gear, and slept twice for a decent night under the stars. This can be done in one shot (i.e., without sleeping) if you prefer to move light and fast. And if you’d go supported, you could probably complete this challenge in half the time or less.
