Christof Teuscher is a scientist, photographer, and ultra runner who lives in Portland, OR.

“Stunning landscapes captured in a clear and minimalistic way are as fascinating to me as capturing the unique instant of a street scene, happening in a fraction of a second. Both are somewhat extremes, living at the opposite ends of time and space. Reality is partly an illusion, and so are my photographs. I don’t feel constrained by any obligation to have my photographs faithfully represent a scene. Reality has never been an absolute concept. I’m interested by portraying the vision and perhaps the illusion that exists in me.”
